Jane Asher has been in the radio business on and off since 1980. Born and raised in a small farm town in Michigan, music was always on in her family’s home. With a love of music, it seemed like a natural segue into radio. Jane attended Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Detroit. Shortly after graduating, she landed her first radio job.

After a couple of years in Michigan radio, Jane was called to the West Coast (Santa Barbara, to be exact. After 7 years in Santa Barbara at KTYD and KTMS, she made her way to the record business in Chicago …doing promotions and marketing with Virgin Records with artists like Lenny Kravitz, Paula Abdul and UB40 in the early '90s.

Jane plunged head first into marriage in 1993 to Tom (a graduate of UCSD), had 2 amazing children (Betty & Thomas), then decided to get back into radio in 1997.

The ride in San Diego radio has been full of great adventure. The Eagle, KGB, K-Best, B949, KSON, KIFM Smooth Jazz 98.1 and FM 94/9. Jane is now taking a break from the radio world to focus on her writing and developing her voice over business. Jane currently serves on the Board of Directors for Foundation for Women and is the Communications Consultant for the Girl Scouts of San Diego-Imperial Council.

In her own time, Jane loves being a wife and mom, spoils the family lab ‘Honey’, loves the beach, her roses, and writing children’s books.
